Lowe Park Amphitheater Custom Architectural Steel
Completed in 2013, the Klopfenstein Amphitheater for the Performing Arts was completed in Marion, Iowa. This amphitheater project was a partnership program of the Marion Chamber’s Imagine8 community visioning process initiated in 2008. The $1.7 million project received generous support at the local, county and state levels. The venue features a 50-foot wide stage, a sub-stage and an oak leaf-like sculptured canopy made of Corten steel by Barnes Manufacturing and architectural design by RDG.
This project allowed featured many custom manufacturing processes including concepting, scale modeling, materials testing, precision steel cutting, metal bending, welding and assembly.
